About ABC Waste Inc.
ABC Waste was founded in 1956 by James Hodges and Ellen Flinchum-Hodges. Ellen had used her earnings from her time with the FBI to purchase the company's first garbage truck in 1952. After operating in Virginia for a few years, they returned to Coastal Georgia and established ABC Waste as a family-owned business that continues to this day, now operated by the next generation including Carolyn, Charles, and Linda Stewart.
The company offers roll-off dumpster containers starting at 10 yards for construction and demolition projects, along with residential and commercial waste collection, traditional and glass recycling, and portable restroom rentals. They are the only glass recycling provider in the Savannah area.
ABC Waste serves Chatham County, Bryan County, Effingham County, and Liberty County. As a locally-owned independent business, they pride themselves on providing personalized customer support while handling projects of all sizes.
